A tourist paradise in the eyes of many, Bali, Indonesia truly captures one’s heart. Like any developing nation, Indonesia suffers from poverty. In Bali, like many tourist destinations, step a few kilometers away and poverty and lack of education are everywhere. Children of every nation deserve the chance to have the basic necessities of life. The Peduli Sesama Philanthropic Work (under the Aura Sukma Insani Foundation) focuses on and believes in the power of “Education for All and Helping Those in Need”. Through generous donations both from overseas and within Bali, educational sponsorship for the most disadvantaged children and helping those in need is our goal. Based on government statistical surveys in 2011, there are hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children and families who need help. Families of 6 or 7 living in one room or in small houses are a part of many village people's lives. Poor attached roofs and bamboo-walls, dirty and open kitchens and no toilet or bathrooms are common in some areas. The largest number of those in need are in Buleleng Regency. The Peduli Sesama Philanthropic Work is organized in Sambangan, near Singaraja and Lovina in the North of Bali in Buleleng Regency. With continued support from generous sponsors, a dedicated team runs the foundation’s operations covering education, social welfare and health matters. Last Updated (Friday, 05 October 2012 12:45) |
